Experience the first day of summer by attending the 24th annual Tribute to the Trees in the beautiful Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens. The Gate opens at 3:30 PM with an al fresco supper served at 5:00 PM followed by a concert at 6:30 PM featuring the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra.
Jory Fankuchen, a PACO coach and teacher, will make his solo debut on this concert. Mr. Fankuchen has performed in concert with many chamber ensembles and orchestras including the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and the Berkeley Symphony.
The Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Benjamin Simon, will present a concert entitled "Across the Centuries" which will include Ralph Vaughn Williams' 1910 Fantasia, inspired by the 16th century melody by Thomas Tullis, Ernest Bloch's soulful Baal Shem and the music of Handel that still charms and inspires after 250 years.
